LIVING ON THE EDGE. Arts, culture and policies in and of the margins

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM

The Nordic Conference on Cultural Policy Research (NCCPR) aims to strengthen the Nordic community regarding cultural policy research and to promote the foundation of Nordic networks of researchers in this field. The theme for the 13th NCCPR is Arts, culture and policies in and of the margins. We welcome submissions from a variety of fields provided that the contributions relate to Nordic cultural policy research in a broad sense. They can relate to the overall theme of the conference, or to other themes of interest for Nordic cultural policy research.

We invite you to submit paper and poster abstracts or panel and roundtable proposals by January 17. Abstracts must be written in English and submitted with this form. Paper abstracts can be up to 250 words. You have the option to present a full paper (6 000-8 000 words) or a short paper (max 3 000 words) at the conference. Please indicate your choice in the abstract submission form. If your paper abstract is accepted, you are expected to submit a full paper presentation by June 19, 2027.

Poster abstracts can be up to 150 words. Panel and roundtable proposals should not be more than 500 words.

All submissions should be done completely anonymously, to ensure a fair review process. Please do not include your name in the abstract text.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday 17 January 2027 at 23:59 (UTC+2). Please note that only abstracts submitted using the online system can be accepted. Upon a successful submission, a confirmation will be automatically emailed to you.

Please check the conference website for detailed submission guidelines. The conference is organised by the University of Jyväskylä together with its partners.
