This retreat is a chance to step away from everyday routines and dive deep into your research in a peaceful, inspiring setting. Surrounded by nature and fellow sustainability-focused PhD researchers, you'll have space to write, reflect, connect, and discover balance. The programme combines focused writing sessions in the mornings, creative workshops in the afternoons, and relaxed leisure activities like sauna and yoga. It’s not just about productivity, but also about finding new perspectives, building community, and recharging. The beautiful nature around the research station offers possibilities for outdoor activities, and the structured sessions are designed to enhance participants' productivity and creativity as well as support their well-being and work-life balance.
This fee includes meals from Monday to Friday, transportation (buses from/to JKL Matkakeskus), and accommodation during the retreat. Bed linen, towel and cleaning are included in the price. Workshops hosted by visiting leads and leisure activities are sponsored by JYU.Wisdom.
The maximum number of participants is 22 people, and spots are filled in the order of registration. Make sure to reserve your spot in time! The participation fee will be collected when you make the registration. We will have a waiting list in case someone cancels participation (see the conditions of cancellation below). We will offer cancelled spots latest in December to the people on the waiting list.
