Explore cutting-edge innovation and discover your future partnerships at JYU's Business Networking Day! On 8 October 2026, Paviljonki will see an assembly of researchers, companies and students discuss all things innovation and collaboration. Come and make use of the networking opportunities across disciplines. 

In addition to the exhibition area, the event will feature six themed talk sessions, where we will hear short (2-4 min) pitches from companies, stakeholders and researchers.

The themes are: 

  1. AI and Data‑Driven Decision‑Making
  2. Disruptive Technologies
  3. Well‑Being and Demographic Change
  4. Climate, Environment, and the Green Transition
  5. Comprehensive Security Solutions Providing Resilience
  6. Collaboration as a Foundation for Innovations

Use this form to propose your own pitch on a theme of your choice.

The deadline for submitting a pitch talk is 31 August 2026.

Please note that submitting a presentation proposal does not constitute registration for the event. To register for the event, go to the Business Day website.

If you're not familiar with giving elevator pitches – no worries! We offer all elevator speakers the opportunity to participate in training, which includes a lecture and a sparring session.

  • In the lecture, you'll learn the basic principles of a good elevator pitch and have the chance to ask questions.
  • In the sparring session, you'll present your pitch to a panel and receive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • The training also gives you a chance to meet other speakers in advance.

Training schedule will be announced later, training will take place during September.
