Science for Sustainability Transformations

The University of Jyväskylä, School of Resource Wisdom (JYU.Wisdom) and Sustainability Transformations Doctoral Education pilot (SusTra) warmly welcome you to the very first Wisdom Days conference in May 2026. The multidisciplinary conference will foster scientific discussions on topics related to sustainability transformations and planetary well-being.
Please note that Wisdom Days is an in-person event, remote participation is not possible.

Participants are invited to submit abstract proposals for talks, speed-talks, posters, and workshops. Abstracts must be written in English within the scope of the themes. The maximum length of the abstract is 250 words and 300 words for workshop proposals.

The deadline for abstracts is Friday 14 November 2025 at 23:59 (UTC+2). Please note that only abstracts submitted using the online system can be accepted. Upon a successful submission, a confirmation email will be automatically sent to you.

Abstract

Please see the conference website for abstract submission guidelines and types. The maximum length of the abstract for a poster, speed talk and talk is 250 words and for workshop proposal 300 words. The length of a talk will be about 20min (15min + 5min Q&A) and speed talk 8min (5min + 3min Q&A). Changes might be made depending on the final schedules of the conference and we will send final guidelines to the participants after registration in the Spring 2026.
